Kapiti Coast hotels are mainly situated in one of two general locations, the town or the beach. Accommodation in the town is ideally positioned for the abundance of shops and transportation connections, with the Coastlands shopping complex at the heart of Paraparaumu. Hotel facilities down at the beach are far more appealing to visitors wanting to explore the vast sandy beaches on the Kapiti Coast or perhaps a trip to the bird sanctuary of Kapiti Island.
